An NYC AEA Showcase Production!  A Commedia of Errors, as adapted and produced by One Shot Productions, is a production of Shakespeare’s A Comedy of Errors that used the traditional theater art form of Commedia dell Arte as a source and inspiration.

Actors used mask, slapstick, musical intermezzi and audience interaction to tell our story.  Our outdoor production toured to three NYC parks over three weekends.

Jordan Kaplan played both Dromios and Matthew Patterson played both Anitphohli - which added to the fun and madness of blocking the narrowly missed connections of each twin pair!  Distinctive hats identified the individuals and even served as markers for the missing twin when both written to be onstage in the final scene!  Check out the pictures below for examples.
